Prenatal care:

At the East Elgin FHT our Nurse Practitioners (NP’s) are dedicated to increasing access to pre and post-natal health care for pregnant women and new mothers. This includes patients already rostered to our clinic and those who are unrostered and without a primary care provider in the community.

The goal of this program is to increase access to health care, preventative care and promote health by providing comprehensive prenatal care until 32 weeks gestation as guided by the antenatal record. The NPs will also provide referrals to obstetrical care when needed.

Pediatric Care:

Our Nurse Practitioners are also happy to provide care to infants and children aged 0-6 years old, who are currently unrostered and without a family care provider. The NP will provide routine well baby and well child assessments, including childhood immunizations, as desired. The NPs will use the Rourke record to guide the well infant and well child assessments.

All patients in this program should be actively seeking a primary care provider. All visits are by appointment only and intended for non-emergent routine visits.
